If kitchens could talk, it would be interesting to hear some of the stories behind the reclaimed wood they’re crafted from, and the life the timber had in its previous guise.
One of our recent jobs involved a batch of pine floorboards from a local Sheffield stage – piled up here in our workshop.
We painstakingly located nails with a metal detector and removed them before sanding them down and re-incarnating them (as you can see, we’re talking a lot of nails!).
They are now living a new life as kitchen cabinet doors – pictured here in situe.
