Reclaiming an old teak school bench

Today’s job is removing the ultra-thick laminate from a reclaimed school bench to uncover the rich teak below.

Once it’s all sanded down and we’ve worked our magic on it, it will be reused in a new Sheffield kitchen as a fabulous feature peninsula breakfast bar.

Until then, we’re all “chipping in” to get the recycling process underway.
