A classic and simple, solid shaker kitchen with an oak worktop which looks beautiful as well as functioning brilliantly as a roomy kitchen-diner in a Victorian home.
Changing kitchen layout
The previous kitchen had units on all four sides, with a table in the centre which hampered movement around the room. By removing the units on one side, the table could be located off centre allowing a better flow.
We also blocked up a serving hatch (close to where the fridge is now located) that led through to the next door room, and opened up the chimney breast, to locate the new rangemaster cooker.
New kitchen design
The new kitchen feels more airy and uses the space more efficiently. There’s copious amounts of storage and the movement around the room is much easier with the u-shaped design.
The kitchen design also incorporates kitchen cabinets made from high recycled content board. All our cabinets are glued and dowelled and set rigid in a press, so are solid and built to last.
Our client loves the new space and the way it works so much better than before. We’re so pleased it has made such a difference.
