Sheffield Sustainable Kitchens

A Kind of Blue

This smart u-shaped kitchen in gorgeous Farrow and Ball’s “Cook’s Blue” makes a stunning statement and provides masses of storage throughout the kitchen diner.

We re-located the washer and dryer to another room, reconfigured the kitchen space, moving doors and making changes to walls to create an under-stairs storage area (out of sight) and lengthen the run of kitchen units, creating a more unified space. The client is delighted with their integrated laundry area in their bathroom and a much quieter kitchen-diner, more conducive to entertaining.

Bespoke pieces

  • Our client had an existing wine cooler which they wanted concealing within the taller side units - we integrated it neatly, next to a bespoke wine rack.

  • At 100cm wide, the cutlery drawer houses a serious amount of knives, forks and spoons. We produced the bespoke handmade cutlery tray from birch-faced ply to fit - there is nothing like well organised storage.

  • The fluid corner pullout reaches enables you to fully extend the shelf out of the corner cupboard space, to give easy access to all the contents.

  • Our client decided to keep their existing tap and reuse it in their new kitchen, an eco-friendly choice, as it was in excellent working order.

  • We installed matching solid oak shelves in the feature alcove in the dining area and a cupboard below...
