How much does a Sheffield Sustainable Kitchen cost? This is bound to be one of your first questions when you get in touch with us. Bespoke kitchens vary a lot in price, as each one is individual. We want to explain a little more about our pricing, so you can see what you get for your money.
Prices and costs
The costs of our bespoke kitchens, bathrooms and other projects vary immensely. This is because all our living spaces are individually designed. Each one is created with a unique choice of materials. No two kitchens are the same, but each one is high quality, built to last and sustainable. We pride ourselves on providing our customers with the best possible kitchen for their budgets.
Our bespoke kitchens start from £25k (although currently the average cost is between £30k – £35k) and our bathrooms at £15k. This includes all design, project management, and installation. It does not include any building work as part of your project, such as the blocking up of a doorway or the unblocking of a chimney breast. Read more about our building work here.
How can I compare costs?
We don’t itemise our quotes for easy comparison as you can’t compare us to other companies! What we do at Sheffield Sustainable Kitchens is something you can’t find anywhere else, so you can’t really compare us. We design and create kitchens using high recycled content materials and various bespoke made-to-measure and unique elements, which you can’t find on the high street. You can see the results in our web gallery – each kitchen is full of character and carefully crafted to meet our clients’ needs.
Even our basic kitchen cabinets are incomparable with what you get from other companies. All our core cabinets are made with a special eco board, manufactured from 100% recycled timber. On top of that, they don’t come flat packed like with many other companies. Our cabinets are glued and dowelled together and set in a press to ensure a solid, rigid and square construction.
What can I get for my budget?
When you choose Sheffield Sustainable Kitchens, you can rely on our experienced and skilled team to create a high quality kitchen. You can be confident that your new space will work for you, both visually and functionally. Our workmanship and passion means that a lot of thought and care goes into making your project special.
Our un-rivalled aftercare service means that we support you and your kitchen to have a long and happy life together. We conduct a health check on all our installations, a few months after they have been completed. That way we can ensure everything is working as it should be. It’s important to us to maximise its longevity, to maximise its sustainability.
All that said, if you’re trying to compare our costs with other companies, then you should feel rest assured that we always produce a clear quotation. It’s important to us and to you that we detail what is and what isn’t included in the price. We try and include everything in our quotes, so that fitting, plumbing, electrics and other necessary works are all covered.
We want to be open with you from the outset. Some companies will show you an artificially reduced price to win your business and then spring extra costs on you further down the line. That’s not our style. Being straight with our pricing is important to us.
Do you offer discounts or special offers?
As a sustainable independent business, we do not offer discounts or special offers. We do not run sales promotions. Instead, we aim to give all our customers a fair price all year round, rather than running promotions to encourage you to buy at times that suit us, rather than you.
We are a small independent business, designing and installing individual living spaces. All of our creations are unique to you and your home, not manufactured on a large scale. For this reason we are not able to offer you the discounts that you might see on the high street, with mass produced kitchens and bathrooms.
All-round sustainability – it’s not just a kitchen
Our pricing reflects our approach to sustainability. We produce our kitchens with a lot of thought and care, and together with you, choose the best sustainable materials for the job. It is important to us that all our materials are sustainably sourced, whether that’s PEFC/FSC certified timber, reclaimed or recycled. We create kitchens with a conscience. You can read more about our approach to sustainability here.
As a living wage employer, we are committed to paying all our staff a fair wage. We are also passionate about training, development and upskilling our team. We strongly believe in keeping jobs in the community, boosting the local economy and supporting other small independent businesses like ourselves.
By choosing Sheffield Sustainable Kitchens to create a new bespoke living space for you, you are not just on your way to a stunning home, you are supporting an independent and sustainable business and our team.
We care about what we do and we care about our customers. Who can put a price on that?
